Bayometric, a global leader in biometric identification technology, has announced a major expansion of its Live Scan Solutions platform to offer enhanced compatibility with rugged, field-ready biometric devices. The latest improvements provide law enforcement and security professionals with greater flexibility, mobility, and precision in identity verification tasks.
This announcement follows increased demand for mobile biometric solutions that maintain FBI-level accuracy and security standards in unpredictable environments. In response, Bayometric now offers full integration support for the XF device by Two Technologies—a rugged Android™-based smart terminal embedded with the FBI-certified Sherlock FAP-45 fingerprint scanner.
The integrated FAP-45 scanner can capture high-resolution two-finger flat prints as well as single-finger flat/roll prints, ensuring accuracy and compliance in mission-critical environments. From border patrol stations to roadside law enforcement checks, the device provides secure and reliable identification wherever it’s needed.
The XF is part of a new generation of mobile biometric hardware. Designed with field use in mind, the device is IP65-rated for water and dust resistance and features a hot-swappable battery, making it ideal for long shifts and remote deployments. Optional features such as a 3-inch thermal printer and a 1D/2D barcode scanner further enhance its usability in mobile settings.
Bayometric’s Live Scan Solution stands out for its flexibility. It is not a single piece of software, but a customizable suite that allows agencies to build a solution tailored to their operational needs. Modules include:
- Fingerprint Image Capture
- Print to Card
- EFT File Creator
- Driver’s License Add-on
- Face Capture
- Signature Capture
These tools are already trusted by a wide range of clients, including the ATF, FBI, FDLE, DSS, FINRA, and state-level agencies across Utah, Nevada, and Arkansas.
To further accommodate specialized use cases, Bayometric also offers two deployment kits:
- Jumpkit: A mobile biometric solution ideal for on-site enrollment, investigations, and identity verification in the field.
- Card Conversion Kit: A streamlined system for converting physical fingerprint cards into FBI-compliant digital formats, supporting archival, database integration, and digital search functions.
The platform also comes with a robust Software Development Kit (SDK), allowing developers and system integrators to incorporate Bayometric’s biometric capabilities into existing applications and workflows. This level of interoperability makes it easier for organizations to adopt new biometric technologies without overhauling their infrastructure.
“As identification needs continue to grow in complexity and urgency, we’re committed to giving our clients the tools they need to stay ahead,” said a Bayometric spokesperson. “Our partnership with device manufacturers like Two Technologies ensures our clients receive not only powerful software, but hardware that stands up to the rigors of real-world application.”
